Real Madrid midfielder Dani Ceballos has regretted his move to Santiago Bernabeu this summer from Real Betis for a fee of €17m (£14.5m) in July but according to reports the player wants a Barcelona move.
The La Liga Champions has been a long admirer of the midfielder before Barcelona signified their interest in the late hour.
Ceballos has managed just 10 minutes of football in Real’s opening fixtures of the campaign, he is reportedly growing frustrated at his lack of action this season.
Ceballos was promised a prominent role in the Barcelona squad and guaranteed minutes on the pitch.
According to Diario Gol, Real Madrid was unable to match their proposal but could offer more cash and offered him a six-year - contract to persuade him to sign for the Bernabeu giants, he reportedly now wishes he had taken up Barcelona on their deal.
It is claimed Real head coach Zinedine Zidane faces the challenge of keeping him happy.
Ceballos could get his chance in the coming weeks because Real have a packed fixture list until the next international break.
Zidane is believed to rotate the team starting line up in order to distribute playing time to the players especially the fringe players.
