Paris Saint Germain forward Angel di Maria blasted his former club Real Madrid and insisted he can play for Los Blancos' bitter rivals Barcelona.
The Argentine forward claimed that he has little affection for his former, Di Maria was signed from Benfica in 2010 by Real Madrid and the fast playing forward helped Los Blancos to the long-awaited La Decima( 10th Champions League trophy) in Lisbon against Atletico Madrid, the Argentine was the most active player on the pitch that day.
His relationship with Real Madrid went sour and was sold to Manchester United in 2014 but failed to establish himself at the Old Trafford and after a season he was shipped out to PSG in 2015.
The Argentine and his PSG teammates are preparing to face Real Madrid in the Champions League in the round of 16 on Wednesday at the Santiago Bernabeu.
"My relationship with Real Madrid ended," he told So Foot. "My cycle with them closed some time ago.
"Honestly, I would have no problem playing for Barcelona."
Before leaving Real, he remembers the club sending a letter to the Argentine FA in which they warned of the national team's culpability for any injuries he would pick up at the 2014 World Cup.
"I took the trouble to read it, and then I ripped it up," added Di Maria.
"I don't need to remember that letter to be motivated against them. Facing Real Madrid is always a motivation."
The Argentine won one La Liga, two Copa Del Rey, one Spanish Super Cup, one Champions League and One European Super Cup with Real Madrid during his four years spell in Spain with the Los Blancos.
